We started the school after noticing most children in our community were not going to school due to lack of school fees, food, and insecurity in the slum. The children come from extremely poor families, orphans, vulnerable, affected/infected by HIV. We started with two classes and two teachers, the two classes had a combination of baby care, baby class, and nursery. By the end of the year 2012 we had a total of 64 pupils and 4 teachers.
Currently, we have a total of 600 learners. 280 boys, 320 girls, 28 teachers, and 3 subordinate staff. We have 22 classes each with multiple streams. Our school has been growing fast in population owing to the quality education offered, affordable fees, and its strategic position in the community. Our first candidates sat for the Kenya certificate of primary education in 2019.
We have a dedicated team of teachers and non-teaching staff who take care of the learners.
Our teaching staff are fully trained in CBC. They are friendly which creates a collaborative environment where learners are more willing to listen to the teachers and each other
